The audience is encouraged to contribute lessons from other countries and regions during discussions.
At the very beginning of the Side Event the panelists will emphasize the importance of disseminating the NUA and other development agendas, and the importance of reaching all stakeholder groups in order to plan for the agenda’s joint implementation. Additionally, panelists coming from different types of organizations (Government, NGO, Academia) will further explain their role in this process.
Through this event, we will emphasize the importance of raising awareness and reaching all relevant stakeholders working on housing and urban development issues as a key step towards the successful implementation of the NUA, and other development agendas. The panelists will also introduce examples of successful inclusion of youth, women, parliamentarians, academia, private sector, etc. into urbanization related projects and programmes.
