The urban public space plays a vital role in cities for sustainable living. The image of a city is defined by its public spaces and streets. The connective matrix of streets and publics paces forms the structure of the city upon which everything else rests. A public space does not only reflect the spiritual outlook and cultural connotation, but also help citizens in communication, cooperation and attending public activities more efficiently. In particular, a good public space also maximally caters the vulnerable groups such as the women and children. The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted on 25th Sep. 2015. The target 7 of Goal 11 states that 'make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable'. On 6th Feb.2016, the Chinese central authority issued 'Guidelines for Urban Development and Management' in which the article 18 suggests 'to establish the sound public facilities', to offer a well-designed and more functional public space resource to the residents for the purpose of offering an accessible recreational and sport areas and enhancing the exchange and interaction among all citizens.
